Art & Design
Art & Design is a journey of discovery at Charlton House. We believe that art, craft and design embody a high form of human creativity and expression.
Our Art & Design curriculum aims to inspire, challenge and equip all children with the knowledge and skills to embark on a journey of experimentation and create their own unique works of art, craft and design. We also teach how art & design reflect and shape our history and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of nations.
Our Art & Design studio occupies a third of our spacious and extensive top floor. Strategically placed alongside the Performing Arts Studio and recently refurbished library, the entire Creative Arts floor enjoys views over the city of Southampton. From the serenity of the natural woodland to the bright lights of the bustling city, the views transform depending on the time of day, month and season. The unique horizon offers our pupils inspiration: an escape to conjure, harness and express their creativity.
