french at charlton house

At Charlton House, French is taught from Reception through to Year 6. Through songs, rhymes and games in the early years, to learning the language and about the food, music, history and geography of France further up the school. All children at Charlton House learn a love of the French language, the country and its rich culture.

Learning a language equips pupils to express themselves in new ways, helping to develop their immediate sense of belonging to the wider world and prepares them for future opportunities in modern life. This has never been more important. At Charlton House, we truly believe that being confident in another language will contribute greatly to preparing our children for their future life.
